GLEAM, an annual outdoor art exhibit, features large scale light installations. Take an enchanting stroll through Olbrich's 16-acre garden and Bolz Conservatory after dark and see the Gardens in a whole new light!

EXHIBIT NAVIGATION
Virtual Exhibit Guide
- Access a mobile-friendly map on your own phone - scan QR code onsite for access or visit olbrichgleam.org and click on exhibit map.
- Exhibit can be easily navigated without use of the virtual map - onsite wayfinding available.
Designated One-Way Tour Route
- Avoids cross-traffic at intersections, encourages an even flow.
- Guests are admitted through Olbrich Gardens’ main entrance into the lobby area and then proceed to the Bolz Conservatory to view the first art installation.
- The final GLEAM installation is located in the Sunken Garden. After viewing the final installation guests will exit the after-hours gate in the outdoor gardens.
Exhibit Route Distance
- 0.67 mile loop, following counter-clockwise around the outer pathways of the Gardens.
Interactive Installations
- During high traffic periods, typically Friday & Saturday evenings from 7:30-9 p.m. you may encounter an optional wait to directly interact with certain installation. Guests are welcome to view the installation and continue on the tour route if they do not wish to wait in line.
Accessibility
- Wheelchairs/electric scooters (2) /upright rollator walkers (2) available - first-come, first-served.
- The majority of the tour route consists of flat, 12’ wide brick or cement pathways.

- There are five areas that may present challenges for persons with disabilities.
- Guests can select to view these installations from the solid, flat main exhibit pathway.
- Alumaphora (1st installation) viewable throughout the Bolz Conservatory (indoors) can be enjoyed from first floor, to avoid retracing the route down the access ramp against traffic.
- In the Light of the Moon (2nd installation) located in the Moonlight Meadow winds through a fine, narrow gravel pathway.
- The DOOR(S) (3rd installation) in the Linden Tree Hideout is situated on a bark mulch pathway.
- Dance with Flowers (4th installation) located in the Serenity Garden is positioned in wide open grassy area with mulched pathway.
- There is a short section of flagstone pathway that connects the Enchanted Tree Chronicles installation located near the Meadow Garden to the Sunken Garden.
GUEST AMENITIES
Restrooms
- Restrooms available indoors only.
- Inclusive restrooms are available in the Frautschi Family Learning Center.
Beverage Service
- Cash bar service available on select Friday & Saturday evenings.
- Food service is not provided at the exhibit.
- No carry-in food or beverages, with the exception for water.
Parking
- Olbrich Botanical Gardens’ parking lot accommodates 210 cars.
- Check out the Map of Alternative Parking Options prior to your visit to identify a plan B in case the Gardens’ parking lot is full.
