Lunch Hour Virtual Lecture:
Sit back and enjoy your lunch while learning from inspiring professionals in the gardening community. Each presentation will be 45 minutes, followed by a 15 minute QandA with the presenter. We are excited to welcome Deborah Chud and Michele Chalice as this season’s featured lunch hour speakers.
Join Deborah Chud for a personal introduction to the design principles underlying naturalistic landscaping. Her 5 years of research on New Perennial gardens led to her own garden in that style, and a unique database of plant combinations. This engaging lecture is part memoir, part history, and part design theory - with some practical "dos and don'ts" for gardeners at every level.
Presenter: Deborah Chud is a retired Massachusetts physician turned garden maker, consultant, and educator. Her five years of research on Piet Oudolf have generated the world’s most comprehensive existing database of his plant combinations. In the fall of 2020, she presented her work as part of “Piet Oudolf: How Does He Do It?”, an international event organized by Oudolf’s co-author, Noel Kingsbury, under the aegis of gardenmasterclass.org.
