New to embroidery? Savvy embroiderer looking for a new approach? This class is created for you! Join us in this 3-session series to learn techniques for free-styling with stitches on fabric. We will explore an intuitive way to start a textile art installation from scratch, including how to combine fabrics, colors, textures and specific stitches. You will learn how to develop a composition and then let serendipity lead the way! This workshop is suitable for artists of any skill level.

This class will be held at Olbrich Botanical Gardens on Thursdays, July 14-28, 1-3 p.m.
Supplies Needed For Class:
- Fabric Scissors
- Pins
- Embroidery Floss
- Cotton crochet yarn or pearl cotton in different colors and sizes
- Needles that fit your yarns and threads
- Various fabrics – only weaves, any colors, any patterns, scraps of fabrics are okay
- One 14” X 15” cotton linen (similar weight to a denim fabric) – any color to work as a background fabric
We are currently following local public health guidelines, so masks/face covers are not required at this time.
