Learn how to create color with stiches instead of brushstrokes! Students will learn basic embroidery and stitching techniques and how to transfer an image to fabric. Join us for an artistic embroidery class where students are encouraged to explore and experiment.

Supplies Needed for Class

Cotton Yarn (crochet style, different widths)

Embroidery floss (with and without twist)

Cotton canvas (white) – Size: 12” x 12”

Sharpie
- Fabric marker

Needles to fit yarn and thread

8” embroidery hoop
-
A printed portrait that fits that size (if not, one will be provided)

8” x 11” tracing paper
-
One 8” x 11” carbon paper for fabric

Scissors
