BookThe Book of Difficult Fruit: Arguments for the Tart, Tender, and Unruly (with recipes)

In her unique memoir, Kate Lebo offers twenty-six lyrical essays, each focusing on a “difficult” fruit. These fruits are unusual, exotic, impenetrable and at times intoxicating as they offer Lebo a lens through which to explore her own experiences with everything from botanical history to personal relationships.

Participants are encouraged to read the selected book prior to the discussion. Books are not supplied but are available at Schumacher Library, partner libraries, and the Madison Public Library system.
