Join us to learn about traditional Molas-style textiles, then create your own stitched artwork in this engaging workshop. Learn how to work with negative and positive shapes as you create a unique design of your own though a guided process of forming patterns using applique and reverse applique. This workshop is best suited for advanced artists or people with embroidery and stitching experience.

Supplies Needed for Class

  • Cotton quilt material in different plain colors (no bigger than 12” x 12”
  • Thread
  • Needles
  • Fabric scissors
  • Fabric pins
  • Fabric pen
  • Carbon paper to transfer sketches
  • Paper and pencil to draw patterns

This class will be held at Olbrich Botanical Gardens on Thursdays, April 7-28, 1-3 p.m.

We are currently following local public health guidelines, so masks/face coverare not required at this time.
