This is an exciting and stimulating workshop to explore design, color and painting on silk. Colors on silk are breath-taking. Design techniques are easy to apply and painting florals are perfect for this art form. Classes are taught in an open and relaxed manner and geared for anyone interested in exploring silk painting. By the end of this two-day workshop you will have three beautiful new scarves to take home. Some supplies needed.

Ages 16 and up (Adult and Youth)
This class will be held at Olbrich Botanical Gardens on Wednesday & Thursday, May 24 & 25, 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Most supplies are provided, but please bring the following:
- Two or three watercolor brushes size 8-12 or two bamboo brushes medium and large
- Two 5B pencils and a pencil sharpener
- Two black magic markers or fine point Sharpie
- Two sponge brushes, a 1-inch and a 2-inch
- Box of push pins
- 5 small jars for dyes
- A work apron and thin rubber gloves
- An eraser and scissors
- 12 plastic cups (like Solo cups)
- Shoebox or container for supplies
- Bring a bag lunch
We are currently following local public health guidelines, so masks/face covers are not required at this time.
