Learn what conditions lead to severe weather and how atmospheric ingredients come together to produce it. Basics of instability, shear, atmospheric capping, and vorticity will be explained in order to provide an understanding of how thunderstorms work and how they produce tornados, hail, and strong straight-line winds. Previous enrollment in Weather Basics is suggested, but not required.
