Wisconsin has almost 50 species of native orchids found in a variety of habitats, from recently disturbed ground to old growth forests and prairies. Join us to learn about their habits, population dynamics, and propagation techniques from your instructor's 40 years of experience and research, including observations of the dozen species that grow wild on Bluestem Farm.  We will discuss common myths about orchids, tips & tricks for the nursery trade, and discuss the dynamic ecology of these unique native plants. This lecture is best suited for intermediate-level gardeners.

Instructor: Scott Weber, Bluestem Farm
